About Me 🖋️
Hi! My name is Dominique, and I am a PhD student in the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program advised by Dr. Alon Hafri at the University of Delaware.
Prior to my PhD, I received research training from a number of excellent scientists including Dr. Charles B. Chang at Boston University (now at the City University of Hong Kong), Dr. Gavin Price at Vanderbilt University (now at the University of Exeter), and Dr. Melissa Libertus at the University of Pittsburgh.
Broadly, my research focuses on the intersection between visual perception and mathematical cognition. Currently, I am interested in uncovering biases (perceptual and cognitive) that influence geometric reasoning. The primary goal of my research is to deepen our basic understanding of the way humans perceive and reason about space and how this influences mathematical learning.
One thing to know about me is that I am extremely sociable, and I love any opportunity to meet new people and chat science. Shoot me an email if you fancy chatting more!
When not doing science, I enjoy drinking Americanos, exploring new countries, and learning the latest Tik Tok choreo.
